26-Year-Old Dead, 2 Seriously Hurt In Jersey Shore Boat Crash, State Police Say
A 26-year-old man was killed, and two others were seriously injured after a boat struck a channel marker in Barnegat Bay in Toms River late Saturday, July 25, authorities said.
A 32-foot Boston Whaler was traveling through the Intracoastal Waterway when it struck an Intracoastal Waterway channel marker, just before 11 p.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper II Christopher Postorino said.
After the collision, the operator, Kevin Wells, 39, of Warren, drove the vessel to a home on Silver Lagoon Drive in Toms River, where emergency personnel responded to render aid, the trooper said. …

The San Francisco 49ers announced on Saturday, July 25, that head coach Kyle Shanahan suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a car crash and will have a limited role at the start of training camp.
