Man Nearly Scammed Out Of $45K: Blairstown PD Quick-thinking police officers were able to prevent a man in Warren County from being scammed out of $45,000 earlier this month, authorities said. On Saturday, Feb. 3, a man came to Blairstown Police headquarters and said he had a pop-up virus on his computer with a phone number to contact Microsoft, police said on Facebook. When he called the number, the party advised him not to contact anyone or do anything with his computer and he was later told he had to withdraw $45,000 from his checking account, police said.
